American Idol alum, Fantasia Barrino, 30, grew up in the church singing gospel music with her family, but went on to pursue an R&B career.
On Instagram, she revealed, “I just wrote my first Gospel Song. All by Myself!!!”
First reported by Christian Post, Barrino wrote a caption above the video sharing a snippet of the song, saying “Not sure what’s happening but all I can say is the enemy has really been testing ME.”
In the short clip, the traditional sounding melody played in the background as the newly married chanteuse said, “I was able to release everything I was carrying.”
She added, “I hope you like it.”
