Rapper Cool C to be Executed Next Year

Rapper Cool C is set to be executed in January (15) after he was found guilty of killing a police officer in 1996.

Cool C, real name Christopher Roney, was convicted of first-degree murder after shooting Officer Lauretha Vaird during a bank robbery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Roney was originally scheduled to be put to death in 2006, but he was granted a stay of execution.

He will now be executed by lethal injection on 8 January (15) at a maximum security prison in Franklin Township, Pennsylvania, according to the New York Daily News.
