The Sega Saturn doesn’t get enough love. Yes, it got absolutely squashed by the far, far more popular PlayStation, and yes, it was the beginning of the end for Sega as a console maker, but still, the Saturn had some absolutely amazing games. X-Men vs Street Fighter

While not the first Capcom game to feature Marvel characters, X-Men vs Street Fighter is significant for being the first one to pit the two companies' characters against one another. The game also featured dual-character gameplay, allowing players to switch between characters in the middle of a fight, laying the foundation for the massively popular Marvel vs Capcom series.

Cyber Troopers Virtual-On

There were a lot of great fighting games on the Sega Saturn, but Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, the first in the Virtual On series, was something altogether different. That's because this fighting game put competitors inside giant robots in what amounted to a mash-up between Virtua Fighter and MechWarrior. Even if you couldn't shell out for the dual joysticks the game was meant to be played with, it was still a blast.

Die Hard Arcade

Die Hard Arcade was a strange thing, as it didn't even hit arcades until a year after Die Hard with a Vengeance came out, and only made it to consoles a year after that. That's basically because Die Hard Arcade wasn't really a Die Hardgame -- it was a Japanese game that was retitled to better market it to American audiences. But despite that bait and switch, Die Hard Arcade was still a blast to play, with a fun mix of brawling and quick time events.

Dragon Force

Dragon Force wasn't just one of our favorite Saturn games, it was one of our favorite games of all time. Blending JRPG aesthetics with tactical and strategy-based gameplay that was far more complex than it appeared at first, Dragon Force was a phenomenal synthesis of multiple different genres, with a ton of replay value.
