With the PlayStation Phone (a.k.a. the Xperia Play) now confirmed, Sony is preparing to start advertising it heavily as the Android phone to own for gaming. Although official announcements aren’t meant to be made until the Mobile World Congress, DROIDNYTT managed to get its hands on the first Xperia Play advert. In typical PlayStation style, it’s a little creepy, but works for us. The green robot Android mascot appears, but he’s been having some surgery done, and now has opposable thumbs–key to gaming. It’s a nice change to the mobile ads we keep seeing of people using smartphones, or where they just rotate while a voiceover tells us how awesome phone X is.
